Direction after Crit with Lorraine

After a crit with Lorraine I explained the issues I had with my project, the main one being that I couldn't figure out how to lay my catalogue out. Loraine explained that the best thing for me to do is to figure out what the content is before I started to design the layout of the catalogue.

I went about deciding how to categorise the content that I was going to include in the my catalogue. Originally I had decided to have a pack for each of the continents around the world, but I wanted the idea of having more customisable packs an option available to the customer. I want the customer to choose a pack that is more suited to there needs, say if they own a tent already they could substitute something to the value of the tent in its place instead.
I have gone from having the idea of 5 different packs for the continents to just 3 a small, medium and large pack. Within the packs and the extra items that are included in the catalogue I have then categorised the separate items into subcategories such as; sleeping, eating, bike, health and bags.

After looking at what I wanted to include in the catalogue I worked out that I would be creating roughly about 18 to 20 double page spreads, including front and back covers.
